They haven't had much luck smashing illegal downloads in the past. Because they are looking for people downloading illegal copies of their content.

This makes it controversial, and dangerous for people who don't protect their identity with near-impenetrable layers of security. But torrenting is frowned on in some places, even illegal. Torrenting is a fast and efficient way to download files from the internet.
